PawPack Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PawPack collects, uses, shares, retains, and deletes information when you use our website, app, and services.
Last updated: July 29, 2026
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including account details, contact information, profile details, dog profile information, park submissions, photos, check-ins, comments, missing-dog case details, sightings, support messages, and other content you choose to submit.
2. Location data
PawPack uses location information to show nearby parks, place park listings, support check-ins, and help coordinate missing-dog searches. You control app location permissions through your device settings. If you turn location access off, some location-based features may not work.
3. Device, usage, and diagnostics data
We may collect device information, app activity, log data, IP address, crash information, diagnostics, and approximate region to operate PawPack, understand reliability, prevent abuse, and improve the service.
4. How we use data
We use information to operate the app and website, create and manage accounts, display parks and dog profiles, process check-ins, review submissions, route support requests, moderate community content, prevent fraud or abuse, improve PawPack, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Sharing
We share information with service providers that help host infrastructure, store media, deliver app functionality, process analytics, send notifications, and provide support. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect PawPack and users, or in connection with a business transfer.
6. Public community content
Some content, such as park submissions, dog profiles, check-ins, leaderboards, missing-dog case information, and sightings, may be visible to other users or on public web pages depending on the feature. Avoid sharing private information you do not want others to see.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information as long as needed to provide PawPack, support users, maintain safety and security, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can request deletion through the app or the account deletion page.
8. Your choices
You can update account information in the app, manage device permissions, request access or correction, and request account deletion. Visit Privacy Choices for the current request paths.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
PawPack is intended for general dog-owner community use and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact support.
11. Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the app, website, or another appropriate method.
